The Kansas City Chiefs bested the Pittsburgh Steelers in preseason action on Saturday, as Chase Daniel hit Rico Richardson for a 15-yard touchdown pass six minutes into the overtime period for the 26-20 victory. That followed after Ryan Succop hit a 38-yard field goal for the Chiefs with under two minutes to go in regulation to push it to overtime.
Chiefs vs. Steelers final score: Kansas City scores in overtime, wins 26-20
The Kansas City Chiefs managed a touchdown in overtime to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 26-20, on Saturday.

New quarterback Alex Smith played well for the Chiefs. He completed 17 of 24 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. It was pretty much the quintessential Smith kind of day. He also had one rush for 38 yards.
Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles got some playing time despite being banged up in recent weeks. He didn't play so well, however, putting up just 10 yards on seven carries. Starting receiver Dwayne Bowe looked good though, catching six passes for 73 yards. The No. 2, Donnie Avery, managed six receptions for 54 yards.
Ben Roethlisberger played well for Pittsburgh, completing 13 of 19 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown.
Did they cover?
The Steelers opened as 3-point favorites and hovered around that for most of the week. Clearly, they didn’t cover.
What’s next?
The Chiefs will take on the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 29. Pittsburgh will take on the Carolina Panthers on the same day.
