Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams is scheduled for an MRI on Monday, according to Aaron Wilson. The veteran injured his knee in a preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Kevin Williams injury: Vikings DL scheduled for MRI
The Vikings veteran defensive tackle was injured during Minnesota’s preseason game against the 49ers.

If Williams misses any significant time for the Vikings, the team will have a major concern along its defensive front. The six-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro is well respected across the league. Even at the age of 33, Williams is still the anchor in the middle. The team’s future at the position, Sharrif Floyd, has been injured for most of the preseason.
Williams has an optimistic view on the injury and seems more concerned about the manner in which he was taken out by guard Joe Looney.
“I feel all right. Don’t really know what’s wrong, but I think I’m fine. I was just upset that I’m getting cut like that 11 years in from a guy I don’t even know who the guy is. Between the pain and the fact that no one was looking it was terrible.”
Williams has 56.5 career sacks in 156 starts in his career, all for the Vikings.
