Wide receiver Danny Amendola has returned to practice for the New England Patriots after missing a week due to an undisclosed injury, according to Field Yates.
Danny Amendola returns to practice with Patriots
The wide receiver had missed a week due to an undisclosed injury.

Yates notes that the receiver seemed to be a "full go" in practice, which is good news for a Patriots team that could use it. After a miserable offseason that included multiple injuries and the murder investigation of former tight end Aaron Hernandez, the Patriots were looking at a limited offense heading into Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills.
Head coach Bill Belichick has not made it known whether or not Amendola will be ready for the first game of the regular season, but his return to practice makes his chances that much better. Amendola will play a vital role for the offense as the Pats attempt to replace Wes Welker among other key contributors.
Amendola came over as a free agent after spending his first four seasons in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams. The injury-prone receiver hasn't played in all 16 games since 2010.
