The Steelers weren't taking any chances with their first-round pick after he held his chest and struggled to breathe after going down while running back an interception against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jarvis Jones feels ‘fine’ after hospitalization
The Steelers rookie went to the hospital for a chest examination after being injured in the preseason game against the Chiefs.

“I fell on top of the ball. [It] kinda knocked the breath out of me,” said Jones to reporters after being released from the hospital. “So I’m fine man. It was just one of those moments. I got tackled from behind, fell on the ball, a dude fell on top of me and knocked the air out of me. It was more of a caution thing to go and get it checked out.”
Jones is expected to compete with Jason Worilds to hold down the spot opposite LaMarr Woodley on the edges of the Steelers defense.
Jones had 14.5 sacks and 24.5 tackles for loss for the Georgia Bulldogs last season.
