Bills roster cuts 2013: Buffalo releases 5 to get to 75-man limit

The Bills made their moves to get to the 75-man roster limit on Monday.

The Buffalo Bills didn't make any moves with their roster on Tuesday, despite a flurry of action around the league as teams attempted to move to the 75-man roster limit. That's not because the Bills aren't in compliance, they just decided to make their moves on Monday instead.

The Bills released wide receivers Da'Rick Rogers and DeMarco Sampson along with safety Dominique Ellis, cornerback Jumal Rolle and center Ryan Turnley to get their roster down to 76 players early Monday afternoon.

Buffalo's final roster move to reach the 75-man limit took place when offensive tackle Chris Hairston was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list. Hairston missed all of training camp, but is said to have been working on the sidelines with Bills trainers recently.

Jairus Byrd would technically be the 76th player on Buffalo's roster, but the NFL granted the Bills a roster exemption as they welcome him back from a lengthy holdout.
