Miami Dolphins tackle Jonathan Martin hasn't been sailing along at training camp, according to the Miami Herald.
Jonathan Martin struggling in Dolphins training camp
The Stanford alum isn’t having an easy go of it this summer.
Martin, a former second-round draft pick out of Stanford University in 2012, has been struggling a bit thus far against the likes of rookie Dion Jordan and Olivier Vernon.
This is a major year for Martin, who is moving over to the left side of the offensive line after spending his first year at right tackle. Martin is replacing Jake Long, who left South Beach for the St. Louis Rams.
Martin is now responsible for quarterback Ryan Tannehill's blind side, making any large mistake a potentially lethal one to the team's hopes of making the postseason.
On the positive side of things, Martin has been tearing it up in run drills. With Miami likely hoping to employ a balanced attack featuring second-year running back Lamar Miller, this is without question very encouraging.
