Tony Romo, others for Cowboys to sit out Hall Of Fame Game

Some of Dallas’ biggest stars will have Sunday off against the Dolphins.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo won't be playing at all against the Miami Dolphins in the Hall of Fame Game on Sunday in Canton, Ohio, according to ESPN.com.

SB Nation's Blogging The Boys site also reports there is a strong likelihood other big names will sit including running back DeMarco Murray and wide receiver Dez Bryant.

Even those starters who do play will only make a short cameo appearance, with two drives at the most.

The offensive line in front of Romo hasn’t exactly resembled a brick wall thus far in training camp, making the decision to sit Romo very easy for head coach Jason Garrett. Without Romo, it would be a rough uphill climb for the Cowboys in the very competitive NFC East.

Including the Hall of Fame Game, Dallas has five preseason games on its docket. Sitting Romo will only knock his schedule down to the regular four games.
