Mike Wallace injury: Dolphins WR unlikely to play in Hall Of Fame Game

Mike Wallace is still dealing with a groin injury and is unlikely to play in Sunday’s HOF game.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace is unlikely to play in the Hall of Fame Game against the Dallas Cowboys, according to Armando Salguero. Wallace is still battling a groin injury.

The Dolphins spent big on Wallace, giving the former Steeler a five-year, $60 million deal with $30 million guaranteed in the offseason, but he missed a handful of training camp practices with the injury. He’s expected to be back at practice sometime next week, but the team is being cautious with their expensive investment. The Dolphins have five preseason games this year, so there is plenty of time for Wallace to get into game shape before the regular season starts.

Several other starters may not play for Miami on Sunday. Defensive tackles Jared Odrick (groin) and Randy Starks (knee) are also unlikely to play. Although neither injury appears to be serious, the team doesn't seem eager to risk their health in the first live game action of the season.
