Andre Johnson injury: Texans WR scheduled for MRI

The Texans star receiver is ailing once again, this time with a leg injury.

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson is going to have an MRI to see what the damage is to his injured shin, according to the team's official website.

Johnson left the Texans' 30-9 loss early against the Baltimore Ravens after suffering a bone bruise in the first half. The former Miami Hurricanes star made an attempt to play in the third quarter, but ultimately had to shut it down for the day. When he left, Johnson had five catches for 36 yards.

Right now, things are unclear as to whether Johnson can play next Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks at home. Following the MRI, Houston is hoping to have a better idea of exactly how severe the bruise is. Johnson is also hoping for clarity:

“I don’t know,” Johnson said. “I don’t know what’s going to happen with it. Right now, I plan on planning. I have an MRI set up in the morning.”

This was the second consecutive game Johnson has had to exit prematurely because of injury. In Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans, Johnson departed with a concussion following an illegal hit by safety Bernard Pollard.
