The NFLPA will investigate the circumstances surrounding Terrelle Pryor's concussion amid concern over how the injury was handled by the Oakland Raiders, per a report from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

The union is looking into whether or not Pryor visited with team officials on the sideline following a nasty helmet-to-helmet hit.

Pryor was injured on a legal helmet-to-helmet hit on a designed run play near the goal line during Monday Night's loss to the Denver Broncos. Following a nearly three-minute review to determine if there was a fumble on the play, Pryor remained in the game for two more plays before finally being sent to the locker room for further evaluation.
At issue is whether or not Pryor went to the sideline during the review process following the play, and whether he was adequately evaluated following the helmet-to-helmet hit. Per the report, the NFLPA is planning to further review game film to determine whether Pryor went to the sideline, which was not shown on the ESPN game broadcast.
Coach Dennis Allen has stated this past week that Pryor did go to the sideline and showed no signs for concern.
“Terrelle came over,” Allen stated on Tuesday. “We were talking about the next play; he didn’t show any signs of any concussion or anything like that. We put him back in the game, and then when he came back over to the sideline that’s when our medical people took a look at him and decided that we needed to send him into the locker room for further evaluation.”
The Raiders would lose the game, 37-21, with Pryor finishing 19-of-28 for 281 yards passing to go with 36 yards rushing on four carries. Pryor's status for Sunday's game against Washington is uncertain, with sixth-year quarterback Matt Flynn set to start if Pryor can't play.
