Rice suffered a strained left hip flexor in a Week 2 win over the Cleveland Browns, with the running back going to the ground untouched after he felt the pain in his hip. The veteran running back, who had appeared in 66 consecutive games and had made 43 consecutive starts, was forced to sit out last week's 30-9 win over the Houston Texans.
The sixth-year running back was listed as questionable after participating in practice this week on a limited basis, yet is confident after seeing improvement in the injury during the week.
“Barring setbacks, there’s a chance I could be out there on Sunday,” Rice said. “I just obviously have to warm up and see how it feels and let coaches make the decision for me.”
The Ravens have the 25th-ranked rushing attack in the NFL this season, averaging 2.6 yards per carry as a team.
