The Buccaneers' relationship with benched quarterback Josh Freeman has continued to deteriorate. Freeman is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals in Week 4, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Josh Freeman inactive for Buccaneers vs. Cardinals
The end of the Freeman Era in Tampa Bay took another interesting turn on Sunday.

The inactive status comes after the five-year veteran was benched in favor of third-round rookie Mike Glennon prior to the matchup against Arizona. The Buccaneers had added ammunition toward Freeman after he missed more than one team meeting leading up to Sunday's game, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Freeman is also reportedly seeking a trade from Tampa Bay and the Packers have been speculated as a possibility throughout the league.
Freeman was benched after he posted a passer rating of 59.3 as the Bucs lost three straight games to start the season. Veteran journeyman Dan Orlovsky will be Glennon's backup against the Cardinals.
The Bucs will host Arizona on Sunday at 1 p.m. on FOX.
