The Colts traveled to Jacksonville in Week 4 to face the Jaguars. Indianapolis trounced the home team on Sunday with 37-3 victory. The Colts' defense and offensive dominated the Jaguars throughout the game. Quarterback Andrew Luck threw for 260 yards and two touchdowns during the win and connected with wide receiver Reggie Wayne for five catches, 100 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Coby Fleener added another five receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown.

On the other hand, the Jaguars proved to have problems on both sides of the ball. Jacksonville allowed 37-straight points and the offense was held to just 205 total yards. Jaguars' quarterback Blaine Gabbert was 17-of-32 for just 179 yards and a dreadful trio of interceptions. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew was held to just 23 rushing yards on 13 carries.
Adam Stites of Big Cat Country believes that a lot of the team’s woes cannot be targeted at just a few individuals:
Quarterback Blaine Gabbert will likely shoulder the majority of the blame for the loss as he completed 17-of-32 passes for 179 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions. Each of the three interceptions were off of deflections, making it hard to completely blame Gabbert for the pass game struggles, as several passes were dropped throughout the game; however, he certainly didn't play well.
While 37 points allowed would seem to reflect poorly on the Jaguars defense, they again looked like a functional group that is hamstrung by an offense that is unable to compete with anyone. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck was made uncomfortable often and didn't have his best game, and Trent Richardson averaged just three yards per carry on 20 rush attempts.
Josh Wilson of Stampede Blue thinks the Colts were able to avoid a possible letdown by taking their inferior opponent seriously:
This week in the Colts' locker room, Chuck Pagano and the coaching staff placed mousetraps all around to remind the team that the upcoming game was a trap game. After all, it was a game against a bad team sandwiched in between games with two very good teams.
The Colts didn't fall into the trap at all and they dominated the division rival Jacksonville Jaguars on the road. They didn't look sharp at first, but they were still scoring and still dominating. They looked good later on, and they kept scoring and dominating.
