San Diego Chargers pass-rusher Dwight Freeney has a torn quad and could be out for the season, the team confirmed on Monday afternoon.
Dwight Freeney injury: Chargers pass rusher has torn quad
San Diego will miss one of its pass rushers, who is out with a torn quadriceps.

Freeney was injured in the second quarter during the Chargers' 30-21 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at Qualcomm Stadium. The former Indianapolis Colts star has only recorded a half-sack on the season, but still provides a nice push and someone for the offensive line to respect.
The Chargers have been hit hard by injuries on the defensive front seven, also having lost former first round pick Melvin Ingram to a torn ACL in the offseason. Now, Tourek Williams and Larry English will have an opportunity to step up in place of Freeney.
It is fair to wonder whether Freeney is done at this point in his career. The Syracuse product had a tough time finding a team this year, and now with this injury appears even less attractive going forward.
