Eric Fisher’s status in doubt for Chiefs’ wild card game against Colts
The top pick in the 2013 NFL draft could be held out of Saturday’s game after suffering a groin injury in practice.
Kansas City Chiefs right tackle Eric Fisher's status for the Chiefs' wild card matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday is in doubt, according to Dan Hanzus of NFL.com. Fisher suffered a groin injury in practice on Tuesday and was held out of participating on Wednesday.

Fisher was the first overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Central Michigan, but Kansas City opted to keep left tackle Branden Albert and bring the rookie along slowly. That has seemed to be the right decision, as Albert was voted a starter in the Pro Bowl and Fisher has not been getting many positive marks for his play this year, though the Chiefs went 11-5 and made a quick turnaround from their 2-14 finish a year ago.
Fisher played in 14 games at right tackle and Kansas City rushed for more than 2,000 yards as a team while finishing second in turnovers. The Chiefs now head to Indianapolis to play the Colts, a team that beat them, 23-7, just two weeks ago.
