NFL news roundup: Sam Bradford expects to be back for camp; Percy Harvin ruled out

Injuries ruled the NFL news on Friday.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

It's the time of year when teams are limping to the finish line. The Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers will play for the NFC Championship, and the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos will play for the AFC Championship. All four teams are dealing with injuries leading into Championship Sunday, too.

Percy Harvin won't play for the Seahawks, according to Jeff Darlington of NFL Network. However, it appears 49ers cornerback Carlos Rogers will be available this weekend. He at least expects to play, according to KNBR in San Francisco.

Here's the rest of the NFL news you may have missed on Friday.

Redskins will keep Jim Haslett as defensive coordinator

Despite getting rid of both their head coach and offensive coordinator in recent weeks, the Washington Redskins plan to maintain the status quo at defensive coordinator. New head coach Jay Gruden plans to keep Haslett in charge of his defense, according to the Washington Post. Haslett has been with the team since 2010.

Sam Bradford expected back for training camp

Sam Bradford's season ended prematurely when he tore his ACL back in October. However, the St. Louis Rams quarterback said in an interview with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch he expects to be back before training camp. Bradford suffered the injury in Week 7, which should give him plenty of time to recover and have a full training camp. He feels it's a reasonable goal.

Record number of underclassmen enter 2014 NFL Draft

The 2013 NFL Draft had a record 73 underclassmen eligible. The 2014 NFL Draft will surpass that mark with 96. The deadline for players to enter the draft was Wednesday, but they had a 48-hour window to withdraw their names if they had not signed with an agent. An official list is expected to be released by the league on Sunday, but here's an unofficial count.
