San Francisco sealed its spot with a win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 16, and then earned the No. 5 seed by besting the Arizona Cardinals with a last-second field goal in Week 17.

Green Bay, on the other hand, was able to best the Chicago Bears in a win-and-in scenario in Week 17. With the return of Aaron Rodgers, the Packers won that game and with it, the NFC North and the No. 4 seed in the NFC.
Despite having an 8-7-1 record in comparison to San Francisco’s 12-4, the 49ers will be the visiting team for Sunday’s game. That’s because of San Francisco missing out on the NFC West crown, which would have given the 49ers a first-round bye.
Still, the odds favor the 49ers in this one, despite the tough road matchup. San Francisco opened as 2.5-point favorites over the Packers. That line has moved slightly in both directions, with some sites anywhere from 1 to 2 points in favor of San Francisco, and others moving to 3-point favorites, according to OddsShark.
The over/under for the matchup opened at 48.5 points and it’s hovering around that number mid-week. That total has gone over in 15 of San Francisco’s last 23 games, and in five of Green Bay’s last six. It’s also gone over in eight of San Francisco’s last 11 games on the road, but under in five of Green Bay’s last seven at home.
