Kirby Wilson not getting Ravens offensive coordinator job, per report
The Baltimore Ravens will instead look to Kyle Shanahan and Jim Hostler, per a report.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back coach Kirby Wilson will not be named the Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator, according to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun. The Ravens will instead go with one of their other two finalists for the position, according to Wilson.
The other two candidates are Ravens wide receivers coach Jim Hostler and former Washington Redskins and Houston Texans offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.
Wilson was always considered an outside candidate for the job and truthfully, a surprise candidate for the job in the beginning. But Wilson reportedly gave great interviews and Wilson said the interview “was excellent.” Either way, he expects to hear back from the Ravens soon.
He was also a candidate to take over the Steelers' vacant offensive coordinator position, but former Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley got that job. He's been a running backs coach with four other NFL teams, and this past season, coached rookie Le'Veon Bell to a solid season.
Baltimore clearly needs a lot of help on the offensive side of the ball. They were ranked No. 29 in the league offensively last year, as quarterback Joe Flacco, fresh off his shiny new contract, threw 22 interceptions and was brought down behind the line of scrimmage almost 50 times.
Wilson has never been an offensive coordinator in the NFL, however, and the Ravens might be looking to Shanahan or Hostler for the experience factor.
