Pro Bowl 2014 odds: Drew Brees, Team Rice slight favorites
Betting on the Pro Bowl seems like an easy way to lose money.

There’s really no accurate way to predict the winner of the Pro Bowl, but Vegas is giving it a shot, anyway. Bovada lists Drew Brees and Team Rice as slight 1½-point favorites over Andrew Luck and Team Sanders. The over/under sits at 91 points.

The rosters of the two All-Star teams were selected in a fantasy-style draft by NFL legends Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders. For the first time, players won’t be representing their respective conferences in the game.
Brees was the top overall pick, and leads a Team Rice roster loaded with offensive playmakers. Matt Forte and LeSean McCoy will line up in the backfield, while Larry Fitzgerald, Josh Gordon and Brandon Marshall catch passes on the outside. Brees will have his New Orleans Saints teammate Jimmy Graham to throw to at the tight end position, and Tony Gonzalez will come off the bench.
Team Rice’s defense is captained by defensive end Robert Quinn and also features Justin Houston, Robert Mathis, Vontaze Burfict and Joe Haden.
Jamaal Charles was the first pick for Team Sanders, and he’ll take handoffs from Cam Newton and Nick Foles once Luck leaves the game. DeSean Jackson, A.J. Green and Dez Bryant provide deep threats at wide receiver, while Jason Witten and Jordan Cameron hold down the tight end position.
J.J. Watt, Greg Hardy, Mario Williams and Ndamukong Suh make up Team Sanders' stacked defensive line. Tamba Hali and Luke Kuechly highlight the linebackers and Patrick Peterson and Eric Berry are the big names in the secondary.
