The Miami Dolphins may not bring back offensive linemen Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin. Team owner Stephen Ross met with the media on Tuesday and said "I don't believe so," when asked if either would return. He later went on to retract the statement saying that he doesn't know what will happen at this point. Incognito is set to become a free agent, and nobody is quite sure what's going on with Martin. It's definitely going to be one of the more interesting storylines throughout the offseason.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to reach out to quarterback Chad Henne to work out a contract extension. Henne is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March, but the Jaguars would like to get him under contract before that happens. Henne had a decent year, with 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, but his biggest asset is his experience at this point. Jacksonville will likely draft a potential franchise quarterback, but Henne would be a great safety net to have.
The Carolina Panthers signed head coach Ron Rivera to a three-year contract extension on Tuesday. Rivera, who led the Panthers to 12 wins, an NFC South title and the No. 2 seed in the NFC this season, will now be with the team through the 2017-18 season. Rivera is expected to earn between $4 million and $5 million per season. His last contract averaged $2.8 million per season.
New Miami Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey says there is no confusion with the structure of the front office and the organization in general. Multiple general manager hopefuls turned down the position after interviews with the team, leading many to speculate that owner Stephen Ross had not created a good environment for a new general manager. Ross is very hands-on and that has to be a negative for many potential candidates. Hickey, however, said that the organization has “foundation,” and that the people have the vision to be a “championship organization.”
The Cleveland Browns are searching for an offensive coordinator to assist head coach Mike Pettine, a former defensive coordinator. Among their candidates is John DeFilippo, the current quarterbacks coach of the Oakland Raiders. DeFilippo isn't well-known to most NFL fans, but he's been coaching since 2000 and most believe he did a good job with what he was given this past season: Terrelle Pryor and Matt McGloin.
The New England Patriots are unlikely to use the franchise tag on wide receiver Julian Edelman. Edelman became the top target for quarterback Tom Brady this offseason after the team lost Wes Welker to free agency, but if there's anything that taught us, it's that the Patriots know what they want to pay for receivers. Of course, that hurt them big time earlier in the season, when they sustained injuries to receiving targets and they began scraping the bottom of the barrel.
