Super Bowl odds and spread 2014: Broncos not likely to relinquish position as favorites

The Denver Broncos remain the favorites in the Super Bowl, and that seems unlikely to change.

Jeff Zelevansky

The Denver Broncos continue to be the favorites to win it all this year. At this rate, it's unlikely the line moves a significant amount prior to the Super Bowl, and the Seattle Seahawks will remain the underdogs. As of late Tuesday night, 63 percent of bets were on the Broncos to win it.

While the line opened up at -1 in favor of the Broncos, it quickly moved to -2 on most books. On Tuesday, the line remained that way, according to OddsShark. It’s worth noting that the Broncos can be had favored by as much as -3 on some other books, but the official line is -2.

The Broncos have been favorites in every single game they’ve played this season. They haven’t won every single game, but the distinction is still understandable given that they fielded the most productive offense in NFL history.

The over/under for the matchup is set at 47, with 56 percent of the money coming in on the under. Apparently, most believe the Seattle defense -- possibly the best in the NFL -- will stymie the Broncos to an extent, but that Peyton Manning will come through in the end. Still, it's difficult to imagine betting on this team to put up so few points, even in victory.
