With Calvin Johnson still nursing a bum knee, Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will take his place in Honolulu for the 2014 Pro Bowl, according to the league.
Pro Bowl 2014: Alshon Jeffery replaces Calvin Johnson
Johnson is skipping the all-star game due to a knee injury and will be replaced by Jeffery, who had a breakout performance in his second NFL season.

Johnson, who was third in the NFL with 1,492 receiving yards and set a career high in yards per reception, nursed a knee injury over the home stretch of the regular season and was inactive in the Lions’ Week 17 loss.
Jeffery had a breakout campaign in his second NFL season, finishing sixth in the league with 1,421 receiving yards and grabbing seven touchdowns. At 6'3, he made a living off of high-pointing touchdown passes over smaller defenders and had a slew of highlight-reel catches in traffic. The peak of his season came in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings, when he caught 12 passes for 249 yards and two scores.
Jeffery will join teammate Brandon Marshall in Hawaii, marking the first time two Bears wide receivers have been selected to the Pro Bowl in the same year, according to the NFC Football Communications director Randall Liu.
