Rookie Teddy Bridgewater should be healthy and ready to play on Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium when the Minnesota Vikings host the rival Detroit Lions. The Lions have been a surprise team, not because of their 3-2 record heading into the contest, but because the defense has allowed just 15.8 points per game, which is good for second in the NFL.
NFL picks and predictions, Lions vs. Vikings 2014: Will the Lions’ defense rattle Teddy Bridgewater?
Can Nick Fairley and the Lions exploit the rookie quarterback and make good on the experts’ predictions?

The defensive line has been brilliant for Detroit, allowing only 372 yards rushing through five games and ranking third league-wide. Given that metric, it’s likely the Lions will stack the box against the run and force the young signal caller to beat them through the air.
Given these circumstances, the experts see this as a relatively even matchup. The Yahoo! Sports two-man panel is split on who will come out on top. The crew over at CBS Sports is similarly deadlocked, 4-4. ESPN’s panel has the visiting Lions on top, 7-5. SB Nation’s team sees a similar result by a 5-2 margin in favor of Detroit.
The experts are not unlike the people in Las Vegas, who have the spread at 1.5 points. The good folks over at OddsShark see the over/under at 45 points.
