San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis has had a rough start to the season due first to an ankle injury and now back spasms that forced him out of last week's win over Kansas City. He is officially listed as questionable on the team's injury report for Monday night's game with St. Louis, but he has practiced the entire week on a limited basis. Fantasy owners with Davis on their team will have a tough choice whether to wait until Monday to make a roster decision. If he can't go, backups Vance McDonald and Derek Carrier would split reps at TE.
Vincent Jackson, Eric Decker headline NFL injury report for Week 6
In his weekly column, SB Nation Medical Expert Dr. Ali Mohamadi gives insight into the most notable injuries in the fantasy landscape and how they might affect your roster decisions for Week 6.

Jackson has been dealing with a rib injury, which has limited him in practice this week, but he's reportedly going to play Sunday against the Ravens. Pain and discomfort on contact are the primary issues athletes must deal with when it comes to rib injuries, and it's likely Jackson will wear a protective jacket.
Update: Jackson is active.
Reggie Bush, Detroit Lions (ankle)
The Lions running back was seeing extra action due to an injury to Joique Bell, but he suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Detroit's loss to Buffalo last week. Following the game, Bush did not believe the injury would cost him significant time, but he has missed practice all week, putting his availability for the matchup with the Vikings in doubt. If Bush is unable to play against the Vikings, the good news for Detroit is that Bell appears poised to return after missing last week due to a concussion.
Update: Bush is inactive.
Jonathan Stewart, Carolina Panthers (knee)
Carolina's situation at running back has been a mess this season due to injuries to Stewart and DeAngelo Williams (out this week). Stewart missed last week's contest but appears to be recovering nicely from a knee sprain that originally seemed like it might keep him out a month or more. Stewart will be a game-time decision for Sunday's contest with Cincinnati; if he can't play, Darrin Reaves will get the start.
Eric Decker, New York Jets (hamstring)
Decker missed last week's loss to San Diego and has participated only on a limited basis this week. Hamstring injuries are notoriously prone to aggravation if an athlete tests it before a full recovery, and his lack of practice activity may be a red flag for Sunday afternoon when the Jets meet Denver. If Decker can't go, Jeremy Kerley, Greg Salas and David Nelson would likely see more Geno Smith passes come their way.
Update: Decker is active.
Jordan Reed, Washington (hamstring)
The talented but injury-prone second-year tight end has missed the past four games due to a hamstring strain suffered on his first and only catch of the season in Week 1. Reed has practiced on a limited basis this week and seems close to a return, but he will be a game-time decision for Sunday at Arizona.
Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders (ankle/MCL)
Carr suffered a high ankle sprain and MCL sprain in Oakland's Week 4 loss to Miami, and the Raiders initially feared a long-term layoff for their first-year signal caller. But Carr has made significant progress over the team's bye week and per reports will get the start against San Diego. If Carr suffers a setback in warmups, either Matt McGloin or Matt Schaub would take the reins at QB.
Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions (ankle)
There’s no official word on Megatron’s status yet, but early reports Sunday morning suggest that he will not suit up this week.
Update: Johnson is inactive.
