The NFL is reportedly considering increasing its global presence. Mere hours after the Detroit Lions knocked off the Atlanta Falcons 22-21 before a raucous and overflow crowd at London's Wembley Stadium on Sunday, British newspaper The Daily Mail reported the league will be playing five games in London next season.
NFL upping London games to 5 next season, per report
However, the NFL reportedly disputes the British newspaper’s report.

Though the New York Post’s Bart Hubbuch later reported league officials deny that claim, there was little to dampen the enthusiasm from the Lions vs. Falcons thriller. The contest marked the second of three games the league will play in the U.K. this season, all of which have sold out.
Back in September, the Dolphins drubbed the Raiders 38-14 and on Nov. 9 the NFC East frontrunning Dallas Cowboys will face the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Last week British treasury chief George Osborne was quoted as admitting the British government wants an NFL team officially based in London and is prepared to pull out all the stops. The league responded with a statement that its “key priority is to continue to build our fan base in the U.K.”
This is the eighth year the NFL has held games at Wembley and the first time three games have been played in London in the same season. Last year, Wembley hosted two games, and in the six previous years, only one game took place there each season.
