Then there are games like Washington at Dallas on Monday night that even your non-football watching aunt can pick. Coming off their sixth straight win of the season, the red-hot Cowboys are a unanimous pick over the 2-5, Colt McCoy-starting Washington team.
Yes, unanimous. Of the 37 experts we routinely cite for our predictions posts -- seven from SB Nation, 14 from ESPN, eight from Fox Sports and eight from CBS Sports -- not a single one picked Washington.
Sure, Jay Gruden's bunch is coming off a win, but that was against the Tennessee Titans and it was only by two points. Washington's offense, which will be captained by McCoy barring a last-minute recovery from Robert Griffin III, has scored more than 20 points just once in seven games. The Cowboys, meanwhile, are fifth-best in the league with 28 points per game. On top of that, a Dallas defense that was left for dead before the season is in the top 10 in points allowed.
All of that adds up to a grim prognosis for Washington.
