Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson "definitely expects to play" against the Miami Dolphins, according to Tory Petri of the team website. The Lions have a bye in Week 9, so Johnson has plenty of time to rest his ankle before the Nov. 9 matchup with Miami.
Calvin Johnson ‘definitely expects to play’ in Week 10; fantasy value high for return
Calvin Johnson says he’s good to go for Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins. We break down the fantasy implications.

Johnson is one of the best receivers in the NFL, but he’s been incredibly unproductive this year due to the injury. He put up yardage totals of 164, 83 and 82 over the first three weeks of the season, but then he sustained his injury. Unfortunately, the Lions made the poor decision to play Johnson through his injury in the next two games, using him as a decoy (a tactic that rarely pays off). He had little impact while picking up just 19 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Now Johnson has missed the past three games and has been ineffective for at least the last five. Fantasy owners have to be devastated given that Johnson was drafted among the highest receivers. That said, he traveled with the team in Week 8 and got in some practice time. He likely won’t do much during the bye, and seems like he’ll be ready to go for Miami as he says.
