Falcons vs. Giants 2014: Online, time, TV schedule, radio and more

The Falcons and their high-powered attack are on the road Sunday against the Giants, who are finally starting to figure out their own up-tempo offense.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Sunday's matchup between the Atlanta Falcons (2-2) and New York Giants (2-2) is going to feature a ton of offense. The Falcons can't seem to stop anybody right now but their offense is as high-powered as ever and the Giants are finally figuring out their new up-tempo attack.

It’s the same old story for Atlanta. There is plenty of offensive firepower there, which is a necessity because the defense is being gutted on a weekly basis. Matt Ryan is going to have to lead his team through a lot of shootouts, which could result in some unfavorable outcomes, as evidenced by last week’s 41-28 defeat in Minnesota.

Ryan has thrown for the second-most yards in the NFL, which isn't surprising. He's already cracked double-digit touchdowns, too, so he's having a fine year. Julio Jones also has the second-most receiving yards in the NFL, which isn't a surprise, either. Everything offensively is going along as planned - that is, in the passing game. The running game has faulted as Steven Jackson continues to show plenty of tread on those tires and the offense line looks for spare parts to fill in for injured players. It's resulted in the Falcons being reduced to a one-dimensional attack.

After an 0-2 start, the sky was falling for the Giants. Then they ripped off two straight convincing wins, putting up a total of 75 points. Maybe the new offense just needed some time to gel, but whatever it is, it’s clicking at the exact right time as New York is at home against one of the worst defenses in the league.

Eli Manning is completing nearly 67 percent of his passes, so all that talk about him hitting 70 percent might not be so insane after all. He's got plenty of weapons, including the surprising tight end Larry Donnell, who shredded Washington for three touchdowns last week.
