Demaryius Thomas tops 100 receiving yards for the 7th straight game

Thomas continued his eye-popping season Sunday, going over the 100-yard mark for the seventh consecutive game.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Denver Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas has eclipsed the 100-yard receiving barrier for the seventh straight game, this time against the St. Louis Rams for another fine afternoon. With his latest effort, Thomas has joined Michael Irvin (1995), Bill Groman (1961) and Charley Hennigan (1961) for the second-most consecutive 100-yard games. Calvin Johnson holds the all-time record with eight such games in 2012.

Thomas has been virtually unstoppable since Peyton Manning joined the Broncos in 2012. Thomas had 1,434 and 1,430 yards in each of his first two seasons with Manning, and entered Sunday's tilt with 1,002 yards. The former Georgia Tech star got off to a slow start this campaign, hauling in just 13 catches for 141 yards over the first three games. Since then, Thomas has 861 yards in six games with five touchdowns and 16.56 yards per reception.

Denver is second to the Indianapolis Colts in passing yards per game with 318. Manning is tied for third in yards per attempt at 8.1.
