Devon Still thanks Sean Payton in person for donation
Sean Payton purchased 100 Devon Still jerseys earlier in the year and Still got the chance to thank the Saints coach in person Sunday.

The New Orleans head coach purchased 100 of Still’s jerseys earlier in the year and donated them to Boys and Girls Clubs in Cincinnati. All of the proceeds from the jersey sales went towards the nearly $1.3 million raised that went to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center’s pediatric cancer research efforts.
Still's 4-year-old daughter, Leah, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma earlier in the year and became the face of the campaign efforts as she underwent surgeries to fight the cancer. Payton was one of the first outside of Cincinnati or the Bengals organization to bring the campaign to light when he made his donation. For that, Still told reporters he was looking forward to the chance to meet the coach for the first time.
“You really can’t thank somebody the way you want to or are supposed to over the phone,” Still said last Wednesday. “It’s something you have to do face to face.”
Still was inactive for the game Sunday, but has played in eight games for the Bengals in 2014. He and his family are currently waiting for the results of a radiation treatment focused on targeting cancerous cells in Leah’s chest and legs.
