The New England Patriots have come to terms with running back LeGarrette Blount, according to Tom Curran of Comcast SportsNet New England. The Patriots signed Blount to a two-year contract, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
LeGarrette Blount signs with Patriots
After letting him walk at the end of last season, the Patriots have created a reunion with the embattled back.

New England had Blount last season but allowed him to hit free agency where he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Blount was cut from Pittsburgh on Tuesday after walking off the field during the Steelers' 27-24 win over the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football because of his lack of carries.
Blount signed a two-year deal worth up to $2.35M, per source. He gets the prorated minimum this year and up to $1.6M w/ incentives in '15.
— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) November 20, 2014 Blount proved to be a headache in Pittsburgh but apparently was not a problem for Bill Belichick and the Patriots. With Stevan Ridley out for the season with a torn ACL, Blount comes in as a cog in a backfield that includes Jonas Gray and Shane Vereen. This year, Blount rushed for 266 yards on 4.1 yards per carry. With New England last year, Blount amassed 772 yards on five yards per rush.
Along with Gray, Blount gives the Patriots a nice combination of tough running backs who can churn out the short-yardage plays come the winter. Blount is in his fifth NFL season, spending his first three with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His best campaign was as a rookie, garnering 1,007 yards in only 13 games.
