Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has officially appealed his season-long suspension Thursday morning, according to Ian Rapoport.
Adrian Peterson officially appeals suspension
Adrian Peterson formally filed his intention to appeal his season-long suspension.

Peterson and the National Football League Players Association have contended the league did not act in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement’s due process. Under the rules of the CBA, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will be hearing the appeal. The NFLPA has asked for a neutral arbitrator in the case, but that decision is solely up to Goodell.
Peterson was indefinitely suspended by the NFL Tuesday and would not have been eligible for reinstatement until April 15 at the earliest. Peterson and the NFLPA made it known at the time of the suspension they fully planned to appeal it. They had three days to do so and have since formally made that intention known.
Peterson agreed to be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list when the charges of child abuse initially surfaced. This allowed him to collect pay during the suspension but would not allow him to partake in any team activities until court proceedings closed. He will remain on the exempt list for the duration of the appeal’s process.
If the suspension is not overturned during the appeal, then he will not be eligible for reinstatement until April 15.
