The Philadelphia Eagles are battling with the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East, and enter Week 12 after a humiliating loss to the Green Bay Packers. The good news? The Eagles come home to face the Tennessee Titans.
How to watch Titans vs. Eagles 2014 online: Time, TV schedule, live stream and radio
Mark Sanchez and the Eagles stagger home to face the Titans after a battering at Lambeau Field.
Philadelphia is likely riding the arm of backup quarterback Mark Sanchez for the rest of the regular season after Nick Foles broke his clavicle in Week 8 against the Houston Texans. Sanchez has eclipsed 300 yards in his two starts, but threw a pair of interceptions and lost two fumbles in Green Bay. The Eagles will hope to rely on running back LeSean McCoy to carry more of the load with Sanchez at the controls. McCoy has been bottled up the past two games, rushing for 107 yards on 35 carries during that span. For the season, McCoy is being held to 3.7 yards per carry.
The defense has been mediocre at best, ranking 20th in the NFL with 25.1 points allowed per game. The biggest issue has been against the run, where Philadelphia checks in at 19th with 114.7 yards against per game. On the positive side, the Eagles have amassed 33 sacks, with Connor Barwin notching 10.5 to lead the team.
Tennessee has been a mess this season, particularly at the quarterback position. The Titans have settled on Zach Mettenberger after giving Jake Locker and Charlie Whitehurst looks, allowing their sixth-round pick to show his mettle. Mettenberger was solid outside of a pick-six on Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, throwing for 263 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Ken Whisenhunt is in his first year as head coach with the Titans and clearly has to build an offense around a young quarterback, whether it be Mettenberger or another signal-caller. Bishop Sankey appears promising as a rookie back, running for 395 yards on 3.9 yards per carry. The receivers are respectable and youthful, with Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter leading the way with 473 and 416 yards respectively.
