Before the season began, nobody would have picked the Seattle Seahawks to be in danger of missing the playoffs come Week 12. Yet, at 6-4 and three games out of the NFC West lead, that is exactly what Seattle is. The Seahawks are trailing the Arizona Cardinals, a team that has overcome injury at the quarterback position to boast a 9-1 record, the best mark in the NFL.

Seattle needs a win to keep realistic playoff hopes alive. Arizona sits above the rest of the NFC but is still out for respect in the great Northwest.

Arizona is without starting quarterback Carson Palmer for the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in Week 10 against the St. Louis Rams. Palmer's replacement, Drew Stanton, has struggled with a 53.6 percent completion rate, worst among any player with at least 50 pass attempts this season.
Still, Stanton has done enough to go 3-1 in four starts, finding his trio of talented receivers in John Brown, Michael Floyd and Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald continues to be a star in his 11th season, hauling in 46 passes for 658 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Brown and Floyd are excellent compliments, going for 468 and 454 yards, respectively.
Seattle comes in without anything close to Arizona’s passing attack, but has the best running game in the NFL. Marshawn Lynch continues to be the toughest back to bring down, averaging 4.6 yards per carry. Lynch has churned out 813 yards and a league-leading nine rushing touchdowns.
Russell Wilson has also proven to be a dual threat, running the read-option to perfection. Wilson is tops among quarterbacks with 571 yards on the ground. Watching Seattle try to run against the Cardinals will be fun, since the Cards hold the third-best run defense. Arizona allows 80.5 rushing yards per game and held LeSean McCoy to 83 yards and Frank Gore to 10 earlier this season.
