San Diego sits third in the AFC West with a 6-4 record, reeling a bit after going 2-3 in its last five contests. A 4-1 start saw the Bolts in the conversation for top billing in the AFC. Now, they’re looking to get back on track with a win against the upstart Rams.
St. Louis has made its way through the competitive NFC West to a 4-6 record. While their middling win percentage doesn't say a lot on its own, the quality of victories within the division has turned some heads. Key wins against the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers demonstrated that the Rams have the pieces in the place to compete with anyone, something they proved last week when they shut down Peyton Manning and the Broncos.
They’ll be a difficult test for the Chargers, who have struggled lately on offense. In Week 11, they only scored 13 points in a win over the Raiders and in their previous game, they were shut out by the Dolphins. San Diego is 4-1 at home this season, though, and despite the Rams holding Denver to a lone touchdown, they still have just the No. 25 scoring defense in the NFL.
