Emmanuel Sanders active vs. Dolphins

The Broncos wide receiver was cleared to play earlier in the week.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is officially active Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. Sanders was diagnosed with a concussion after a huge hit knocked him out of Denver's Week 11 game against the St. Louis Rams. He was cleared for physical activity on Thursday, and returned to practice on Friday.

Getting Sanders back is definitely a boost to the Broncos, especially with tight end Julius Thomas out with an ankle injury. The wide receiver has caught 67 passes for 954 yards and seven touchdowns on the season, trailing only Demaryius Thomas in yards and Julius Thomas in touchdowns. Denver's offense struggled big time against the Rams once Sanders went down with an injury. In the end, the Broncos put up just seven points, the only time they've been held under 20 points all season.

At this point, there’s no reason to expect Sanders takes anything less than his regular workload. He’ll have his hands full, however. The 6-4 Dolphins allow just 208 passing yards per game, which is good for second in the NFL.
