Raiders vs. Chiefs 2014 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

Kansas City desperately needs a win against a rapidly improving Oakland team.

The Kansas City Chiefs are a streaky bunch. After losing their first two games this season, the Chiefs reeled off seven wins in eight contests, including a five-game win streak. Then the team fell apart, losing three consecutive games to land on on the playoff bubble at 7-6. The first loss of that spell was against the Oakland Raiders, who earned their first win on a rainy night on national television. Now, the Chiefs have to beat the rivals in the rematch or face the reality of a long winter.

Kansas City has been one-dimensional on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the Chiefs are an excellent rushing team led by Jamaal Charles. Charles has 898 rushing yards on 5.2 yards per carry and another 234 receiving yards. All told, Charles has 14 touchdowns to lead the NFL.

The passing game has been a total mess, and no Chiefs receiver has caught a single touchdown. Alex Smith was given a $68 million contract extension in the offseason, but hasn't held up his end of the deal, throwing for 6.8 yards per attempt, 29th in the NFL, and just 16 touchdowns. One bright spot is tight end Travis Kelce who is leading the Chiefs with 688 receiving yards.

Oakland appeared to be the worst team in football through the first 10 weeks, perhaps even destined to become the second 0-16 team in NFL history. However, the Raiders have turned things around with wins over Kansas City and the San Francisco 49ers in the last three weeks.

Oakland appears to have its quarterback of the future in Derek Carr, who has thrown for 2,676 yards and 17 touchdowns despite having no weapons to speak of. Carr will need his offensive line to come up big on Sunday against Justin Houston, the NFL's sack-master with 16.0. At 2-11, the Raiders should get a high draft pick and could use it to bolster the offense or a run defense that allows 127.9 rushing yards/game, 24th in the league.
