How to watch Jets vs. Titans 2014: Time, TV schedule and live stream

Tennessee and New York have been horrifying this season, but the draft is rapidly approaching! Good times!

Sometimes you just have to be honest. The New York Jets and the Tennessee Titans are awful football teams. The kind of teams that make fans turn off the televisions and send them into the freezing cold to willfully shovel snow. Both are 2-11 and without any kind of offensive weaponry, leaving the offseason as the only thing either fan base can look forward to.

For the Jets, the interesting portion of their year will begin when head coach Rex Ryan is fired, presumably followed by general manager John Idzik. After missing the playoffs for four consecutive seasons, Ryan will be shown the door. After that, it will be onto the coaching search and then free agency, where New York can make a serious splash with projected cap space totaling $41.4 million. It won’t be easy to rebuild this once-proud franchise, but with the right moves and some solid drafting come April, the Jets could be on the fast track to a winner. With such a high pick, maybe they land Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston.

Tennessee is in the same boat, although it likely will not be looking for a head coach. Despite the disaster that is 2014, Ken Whisenhunt likely survives since he has only been around for a year. Once free agency rolls around, the Titans have needs on both sides of the ball to fill, namely offensive line and linebackers. Tennessee has had all sorts of issues with the ground game, ranking 27th in rushing yards gained and dead last in rushing yards allowed at 141.5 per game. The Titans also have some money to play with in 2015, projected at $33.2 million.
