Eddie Lacy does not want to wear goggles, but he might have to

The Packers running back can’t see due to eye irritation from a contact lens, which could be a problem come Sunday.

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy is having a tough time seeing due to contact lens irritation, but hopes to wear them Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If he can't, Lacy might have to throw on some old-school goggles a la Eric Dickerson, although it is not an appealing option, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

Lacy has very limited vision without his contacts, something he proved in the Packers’ locker room when looking at Scott Tolzien’s locker on Thursday.

“Let’s just say I’m very blind,” Lacy said. “I can’t see Scott’s name over there.”

If the contacts are still bothering him, goggles could be an option. However, Lacy is not thrilled about having the Eric Dickerson look.

"I refuse," Lacy said before backtracking slightly. "I don't want to say I refuse because I might, because I think it will be better than wearing contacts, but that's kind of old school."

Without Lacy at full strength, Green Bay would be down any kind of legitimate rushing game to compliment the Aaron Rodgers aerial attack. Lacy has amassed 940 yards on the ground with a bruising style, giving the Packers a solid running game since being drafted from Alabama in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

With two wins to close out the season, the Packers will earn the NFC North title and a first-round bye.
