The New York Giants will be visiting the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, playing only for pride and future job opportunity. Both teams have been eliminated from playoff contention but have seen improved results over the last few weeks. The Rams have won two of their last three, while the Giants have won two straight.

New York and St. Louis aren’t going to the playoffs, but both have reasons for optimism going forward.
However, this doesn't mask that New York has struggled to play consistent football this season. The defense has performed well against the pass, registering 41 sacks behind Jason Pierre-Paul and Jonathan Hankins. New York also enjoys a gifted secondary with Antrel Rolle and Prince Amukamara. The problem is against the run, where the Giants rank 30th. Offensively, Odell Beckham Jr. has blossomed into a star. The first-round pick out of LSU already has 71 catches, 972 yards and nine touchdowns in 10 games. Without question, Beckham is the focal point of the team.
St. Louis is an up-and-coming group, especially on defense. The Rams posted consecutive shutouts against the Oakland Raiders and Washington, showcasing ample talent. Robert Quinn and Aaron Donald are the unit's top players, notching 18.5 sacks and 68 tackles. The Rams are limited offensively with Shaun Hill at quarterback. Hill has thrown for 1,124 yards and six touchdowns against four interceptions, completing only 59.4 percent of this throws.
