Washington is 4-11 and has been swapping quarterbacks what seems like weekly. Dallas is 11-4, just had six players on its offense named to the Pro Bowl and demolished the AFC South champion Colts by 35 points last week. But don't be shocked that some NFL experts are picking the Cowboys to lose this Sunday.
Cowboys vs. Washington 2014 picks and predictions: Dallas isn’t a lock
Washington’s already upset the Cowboys in Dallas this season. Can it happen again at home?
For starters, Dallas has already clinched the NFC East and while the Cowboys are technically still alive for a first-round bye and home-field advantage, that would take a minor miracle. The Cowboys plan to play their starters, but you wonder how long they'll be willing to risk the health of Tony Romo and DeMarco Murray.
Then there’s the fact that the last time Washington played the Cowboys, the visitors walked out of Jerryworld with a shocking 20-17 overtime win. With Colt McCoy under center, Washington battled to a stalemate in regulation then drove 58 yards on the first drive of the extra period for an eventual game-winning field goal.
And that isn't the only division upset Washington has scored this season. The reason the Cowboys have already clinched the East is because Washington downed the Eagles last week, 27-24.
At CBS Sports, three of the eight panelists are picking the upset. ESPN is a bit more reserved about Washington's chances, with all but one of the 13 experts going with Dallas.
