Once faltering, the red-hot Seattle Seahawks can clinch the NFC West with a win against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

Seattle can lock up the NFC West with a win in the regular season finale.
The Seahawks started off 3-3 and everyone wanted to know what was wrong with the defending Super Bowl champs. Since that point, they’ve won eight out of nine, roaring in front of Arizona for the division lead with a convincing 35-6 win on Monday night. The defense has returned to its dominant form, holding opponents to an average of 6.6 points and forcing seven turnovers during the last five games.
The Rams have lost their last two, the latest descent in a season of peaks and valleys. Their 6-9 record isn’t impressive, but they’re a dangerous team, with wins against San Francisco, Denver and Seattle. The win against the Seahawks came in Week 7, when the Rams built a 21-3 lead and managed to hold off a furious rally to win 28-26.
The key in that victory was special teams. A 75-yard kick return set up the Rams’ first touchdown, a trick punt return resulted in a 90-yard touchdown and a fake punt conversion helped salt the game away. Otherwise, the Seahawks dominated statistically, piling up 119 more passing yards and 69 more yards on the ground.
This time around, leaning on special teams may not be enough against a Seahawks team that looks primed for another Super Bowl run.
