Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall was in obvious pain after being hit by a helmet in the back Thursday night, staying down on the field until trainers assisted him to the locker room. Marshall did not return from that hit on during Chicago's 41-28 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys, and may not return until 2015, per Ian Rapoport.
Brandon Marshall has 2 fractured ribs, might miss rest of season, per report
Marshall took a nasty hit on Thursday night that fractured two ribs, injured his lung and may very well have ended his season.

Marshall suffered two fractured ribs and injured his lung on the hit, according to Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times, and was still hospitalized as of Friday afternoon. With the Bears at 5-8, any injury that needs time to heal will likely put Marshall on the shelf with any playoff hopes now being long gone. Marshall himself seems to be in good spirits, tweeting out that he is fine. He might also have been enjoying the spotlight after this incredible catch:

Much like the rest of the Bears, Marshall put together a somewhat disappointing campaign in 2014. The lanky receiver caught 61 passes for 721 yards and eight touchdowns. If his season is indeed over, this will be the first time Marshall hasn’t had 1,000 yards in a season since his rookie year of 2006.
