Andre Johnson has enjoyed a tremendous career with the Houston Texans, owning every meaningful receiving record of the team's brief history. Now in his 12th NFL season, Johnson is muddling through another year in which Houston is unlikely to make the postseason. Still, Johnson says he wants to play three more seasons and wants to do it with the Texans, per Brian T. Smith of the Houston Chronicle.

Johnson says he wants to stay in Houston after a full year of frustration.

“I always want things to work out here. I’ve always wanted that,” Johnson said at NRG Stadium. “I don’t want to play for nobody else. I have been here for 12 years. I don’t even think it would feel right.
“I have seen everybody come into this locker room and leave out. Trainers, … stars, coaches — I have seen it all. (My) locker has been here the longest. I couldn’t imagine how it would feel to put on another uniform, so hopefully I’ll be able to be here.”
On the surface, that sounds great. However, anybody with a memory knows it’s a completely new tune being sung by Johnson. The wide receiver skipped Houston’s mandatory offseason mini-camp because he was frustrated with the team’s direction. Later, Johnon said he wanted to be released or traded out of Houston.
Even during the season, Johnson has become audibly frustrated with the situation. After a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 9, Johnson's effort was questioned by Eagles corner Cary Williams. Johnson responded:
"I'm trying to help the team win," Johnson said. "But I only can do what I can do. I can't control everything. I only can control what I can. That's it. I can't block. I can't cover guys. I can't throw the ball. All I can do is run routes and try to get open and catch the ball."
Without the team deciding to move on, Johnson will be a Texan through the 2015-16 season.
