Travis Kelce fined $11,025 for on-field dismissive wanking motion

This isn’t exactly a surprise.

The NFL apparently wasn't too amused with the gesture made by Travis Kelce last week. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was fined $11,025 for his obscene motion during a loss to the Denver Broncos, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The gesture in question, which you can just check out below and spare me the detailed description, occurred after Broncos defender Von Miller was flagged for a late hit against Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith. Though it initially appeared as though the motion was aimed at the ref delivering the call, Kelce later explained on Twitter that it was directed at Miller.

“[Miller] had a cheap shot on my quarterback, so I thought he deserved a shot to the face,” Kelce said in the now-deleted Tweet.

Regardless, neither the league nor his coach appreciated it.

“It sounds like it was a bit of an immature act,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid told ESPN. “I normally don’t let those things go by. I’ll address that. I’ve got to see it first and then make sure.”
