The New York Giants and Tennessee Titans have played some bad football this year. New York was supposed to be competitive but has fallen well below those expectations at 3-9. Tennessee didn't have many expectations and has proven to be terrible, sitting at 2-10 in the dismal AFC South. On Sunday, the teams play in Nashville, with the real winner being the loser.

Tennessee and New York have had brutal seasons, and get to revel in each other’s misery come Sunday.
At this stage of the season, all the Giants and Titans have left is draft positioning. Another loss gets both closer to a higher pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, something both could use to rebuild on both sides of the ball.
New York will almost certainly have a new coach next season with the ousting of Tom Coughlin seeming inevitable. Coughlin has spent 11 years as the Giants head coach and won two Super Bowls, but his days are numbered. New York has lost seven straight and looks pathetic in the process, losing a 21-point lead to the previous 1-10 Jaguars last week. Eli Manning will keep his job but has been mediocre again this season, throwing 22 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
In Tennessee, first-year man Ken Whisenhunt has had no luck turning the Titans around. Zach Mettenberger is the starting quarterback now after Jake Locker and Charlie Whitehurst had chances, but it is hard to say if the sixth-round pick from LSU is the answer long term. On defense, the run has destroyed Tennessee all year. The Titans rank last in the NFL at stopping the ground attack, yielding 141.5 yards per game. The rushing offense is also anemic, checking in at 27th with 88.3 yards/game.
