Jonathan Martin could return to football in 2014 and according to one report, actually playing for the Miami Dolphins in 2014 is “not impossible.”

The specific wording is that it’s “not impossible” that he returns. Whether or not that wording was used to imply how unlikely the circumstance would be is unclear, but it’s interesting to note it’s at least possible. Many figured that if Martin returned, the Dolphins would attempt to salvage things somewhat by fielding trade offers for the second-year pro.
Martin is at the center of a highly publicized bullying investigation. Martin left the team in late October after suffering what was then called an "emotional breakdown." From there he claimed that fellow lineman Richie Incognito was among those bullying him and making the team environment otherwise hostile. Incognito declined the claims and was suspended, and neither player returned in 2013.
Incognito is set to hit free agency and is hoping to find another team in 2014, though the NFL could still punish him for the whole ordeal. On Wednesday, Incognito took to Twitter to vent some frustrations, making it clear that this whole situation is far from over.
It apparently wasn’t just Incognito who made Martin feel the way he did, and the Dolphins themselves took a lot of flack for allowing that kind of environment.
