The 18 other teams who also won the Super Bowl this year

Don’t act like you did it all by yourselves, Seattle.

SB Nation 2014 NFL Playoff Coverage

The Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII. That statement is technically true, but it's an extremely limited perspective on things. Sure, Seattle deserves some credit for the victory. Maybe even a majority of the credit. But the NFL is all about group success, and the Seahawks didn't get to this point entirely on their own. It took eighteen other teams to identify talented players, train and develop them, and then let them go so they could sign with Seattle.

So don’t think of them just as “the World Champion Seattle Seahawks.” Recognize that they also include:

- One former Cardinal
- One former Raven
- A former Bengal
- Someone who used to be a Brown
- One former Bronco
- A former Dolphin
- A former Eagle
- One former Charger
- One former Buccaneer
- One player who was previously paid by Dan Snyder
- Two former Bills
- Two ex-Bears
- Two players previously appearing on Detroit's roster
- Two former Packers
- A pair of former Jaguars
- Three Raiders alumni
- Four previous Vikings
- And four former 49ers.

A win for Seattle? No. A win for the LEAGUE. Thank you, Arizona, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Miami, Philadelphia, San Diego, Tampa, Washington, Buffalo, Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Jacksonville, Oakland, Minnesota, and San Francisco. You helped make this team possible.
