NFL Draft results 2014: DaQuan Jones selected by Titans

The Titans grab Jones with the 112th overall selection in the draft.

The Tennessee Titans needed help in the interior of the defensive line, and they've addressed that need by grabbing defensive tackle DaQuan Jones of the Penn State Nittany Lions with the 112th overall selection (fourth round) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

A disruptive force in run support, Jones racked up 11.5 tackles for loss in 2013, leading the Nittany Lions in that category. Listed at 6’4, 322 pounds, he has the size and strength to win in the trenches in the NFL. Weight has been a bit of concern in the past, but he was able to shed 20 pounds between his junior and senior season and is surprisingly athletic with the weight off. He’s not much of pass-rushing threat, tallying three sacks last season.

Ranked as the sixth-best defensive tackle prospect in the draft on SB Nation’s top 200 big board, Jones was considered by most to be a Day 2 selection. He came in at No. 63 overall on the big board.
