The Arizona Cardinals have selected Alabama defensive lineman Ed Stinson with the 160th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Stinson was ranked No. 77 among prospects on SB Nation's top 200 big board.
NFL Draft results 2014: Ed Stinson taken by Cardinals in 5th round
Stinson joins the Cardinals in the fifth round of the draft.

Stinson watched from the sideline during Alabama's National Championship season in 2009, but was an integral part of the starting defensive lineup for the team in 2012 and played significant time in 2013. In 49 games with the Crimson Tide, Stinson recorded 15.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
Stinson is somewhat of a tweener as a prospect, as it wasn’t particularly clear if his best fit was at defensive tackle or defensive end. While light for an interior defensive lineman, he isn’t particularly quick off the line of scrimmage and lacks the pass-rushing moves necessary to beat offensive tackles at the edge. Still, he’s effective as a bull rusher and does a good job of keeping opposing offensive linemen off him with his long arms.
